The commercial model
How the money works, so that when the figures arrive you already know what they are made of.
Two fees
A one-off Site Activation Fee buys the site ready for your equipment. A recurring Monthly Hosting Fee keeps it running. There is no third fee, no separate land rent and no per-pass or per-gigabyte component — we are a landlord, and we do not meter your mission. Line by line below.
Sensor and containerised deployments are priced on the same basis at a smaller footprint and a smaller envelope.
What moves the number
- Antenna or sensor class and mass. The foundation is the largest single variable, and a 7m dish is not a scaled 3m one.
- Power envelope. A hundred-kilowatt-class radar is a different connection conversation from a one-bay RF node.
- Segregated compound space. Access control or physical separation changes the land take, so raise it in the first conversation rather than the fifth.
- Smart Hands. How much is included, and what response time you actually need.
Send us those four and the figures come back in the first reply. Fees are stated and invoiced in Icelandic krónur.

Master Hosted Site and Services Agreement

Short form for small-sensor deployments where the full pack is disproportionate.
Icelandic governing law. We will send the pack under NDA before you have committed to anything — reading the actual documents tells you more about a counterparty than any amount of website.
Service levels
The part most hosting providers are vague about, stated plainly.
What we commit to
Smart Hands response, measured from a valid call-out to our acknowledgement and acceptance: one to eight hours depending on urgency and service period. Incident notification within four business hours of our becoming aware of anything materially affecting your operational area. Tasks are carried out under the real-time direction of your engineers. Our people are technically literate but are not your engineers, and the contract says so rather than implying otherwise.
What we do not commit to
Any availability, uptime or bandwidth guarantee on electricity or connectivity, and no service credits on either. Those are third-party utility services. We pass through whatever remedies the utilities extend to us, and we do not sell you credits we cannot fund.
How it runs
From first contact to operational, in the order it actually happens.

First conversation
Write to us in whatever detail you have. What we eventually need is antenna class and mass, foundation drawing, power draw, band plan and any segregation requirement — but a one-line enquiry is a perfectly good start, and we will tell you what is buildable rather than assume.

Site data pack
Coordinates, land parcel and planning constraints, grid connection point, fibre topology, design basis, and the coverage model with its method. Under NDA if you prefer.

Contract pack
The five documents with your specifics filled into Schedules B, C and D. Icelandic law, negotiated normally.

Activation
The Site Activation Fee and advance are payable before we commence site preparation. Foundation and services are built to the agreed specification — up to sixteen weeks at Blönduós from an agreed structural drawing, because grid power and fibre are already connected to the site. The sequence week by week.

Installation and acceptance
You install; we support. Site Activation Acceptance starts the term and ongoing billing, against the conditions listed in Schedule B.

Operations
Monthly hosting, Smart Hands on call, incident notification, and the reporting set out in the Service Level Schedule.
